How to play Spin the Wheel
- Put your names in the panel on the right — or paste a whole list at once.
- Give someone better odds by turning their number up. A 3 gets three times the slice.
- Hit spin, or just click the wheel. The space bar works too.
- Won already? Use Remove & spin in the results box to draw without replacement.

When to use Spin the Wheel
The wheel is the one everybody already understands, which is why it is the default. There is nothing to explain: names go on slices, the pointer stops somewhere, and the room accepts the answer because they watched it happen.
- Picking who presents first at a stand-up, without the pause where everyone studies their shoes.
- Classroom cold-calling, where it matters that the class saw the teacher not choose.
- Raffles and giveaways on a livestream — the spin is slow enough to talk over.
- Any decision where the argument was never about the answer, only about who picked it.
Questions
Is the wheel actually random?
Yes. The winning slice is chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the wheel starts turning, then the spin is solved backwards so the pointer lands there. Nothing about the animation nudges the result.
Can I make one name more likely?
Turn its number up in the roster. A name on 3 gets three times the slice, and three times the chance.
Can I share my wheel with someone?
Press 🔗 Share in the roster panel. The link carries the whole list, so whoever opens it gets your exact wheel.
